Wet Weekend

This weekend we decided to have a family day and since it was hot we hit the water park. I think it's been open a couple of years now but it was our first time. Discovery Island water park isn't a huge park but we loved it. I liked how it wasn't spread out. That way I could see all of the kids while they did different things. A few of us came room really red (red heads burn..lol)but it was worth it.

Your going where? And why?

The countdown is on for our summer road trip! These are the 2 questions I get asked "Where are you going?" and "Why are you going?". We are going to South Dakota! Why? Because we want to..lol. No we have been wanting to go out west for a while now and something always comes up.Plus Kain and Noah have been learning about Mt Rushmore and want to go see it. It's gonna be a long drive {25 hours one way} but we are going to break it up. We will be stopping in St Louis, Omaha, Sioux Falls and Custer. We are staying in Custer State Park with all the wild life:) I am hoping that even though we have a long drive. That when we get there we are able to have a nice relaxing vacation. Unfortunately the park does NOT have Internet access. So I will not be able to blog like I did from Disney:(
We are leaving June 23 and will be gone for 12 glorious days! My kids will probably do pretty good in the car. They have rode to Key West {16hours} and New York {13 hours} so I think they will be ok. Any tips for a really long car ride?
So where is your family going this summer?

Both of these pictures are from inside the park. The lake is where you swim. Doesn't it look beautiful?

Last night we had the awards program for Upward soccer. Boy was it loud in the sanctuary! We had over 300 kids on 40 teams this year. Upwards is a great outreach program and I am happy to be a part of it. I had a awesome team this year and my assistant{ Summer Laney} was the best:) So it's official..soccer is over.

We have Terrific Kids!

We have 3 terrific kids and we are so proud of each of them. But this morning 2 were named Terrific Kids at school. I think it's a big accomplishment for 1 kid to get it but 2. That is just awesome! Noah and Zoe were very excited to get to have breakfast with mom and get an award. Since Zoe doesn't go to school until the afternoon session she came with me. Noah was so sweet because he had gotten us breakfast so we didn't have to stand in line. Of course I had to find a seat on the very front..lol. I had to take pictures:)

Way to go Noah!

Sweet Sunday

My house is so quite right now.I almost don't know how to act. Corey is gone out with some friends to a concert(Skillet and Disciples). The kids are at their Grandma and Pop's for the night. So it's just me, Lucy(the dog) and my laptop. This weekend was crazy having 5 kids..lol.Corey got to work again today so I was in charge of getting everyone ready for church. I got everyone into their SS classes on time. We have been talking about our love language in my Sunday school class. Now that I think about it,it is so true. My love language is quality time and acts of service. That is so me! After church we went to Granny's for a nice Sunday lunch. These kids are a bottomless pits! After lunch we walked up to grandma and pop's and they were starving already. So they sliced up a juicy watermelon. They about ate a whole one by themselves..lol.

We had our SS social at the very gracious Harrison's today. I still went minus the kids and husband..lol. There were so many kids I don't think anyone notice mine were not there. I had a great time being able to socialize without worrying about the kids. Does that sound too bad? Just please do NOT let my kids know that the Harrison's have a water park in their back yard! They might be a little mad at me for not insisting they come:)
