End of the Summer Picnic
As the summer comes to an end our church celebrates by having a church wide picnic at the Westside Club. The rent the whole place and provide all the food. This may be the last time the kids swim until next summer so they stayed in the pool the whole time. Corey decided he would give tennis a try:) We are so thankful to have a church that really makes families a priority!
Zoe and Brynn relaxing in the water
The boys mostly stayed at the end of the pool
Our hubbies found the shade real quick!
Brandon and Corey were playing then I decided to give it a try. Um I don't think I will pursue a career in that:)

What a week!
First off Do you notice something different? Yes I finally got a blog makeover!! Keisha over at BlogsforBabies did a great job!
OK our week has not started out well! Corey kept saying his chest was hurting. Well that's just not something you take lightly! We went to the Dr on Monday and was told he had pulled/torn the carilidge/muscles around his sternum. Even though it is painful I was relieved to know it wasn't something worse.
Zoe came home from school on Monday and she had a bad day. She cried most of the day and said she really missed us. Kain saw her at recess and went to see what was wrong. She told him her heart hurt:( Her teacher said she even fell asleep on her desk and took a short nap. So this morning (Tuesday) she told me she wasn't going to cry. Corey went to pick them this afternoon and as soon as she got in the car she started crying. There had been some mix up with her lunch and she didn't get to eat the school lunch. I'm still not sure what happened even after talking to the teacher. They finally got home and I went to hug her and she was hot as fire! I took her temperature and it was 103.2! So we headed to the Dr and found out she has step! So here we are the first full week of school and already missing days.
Please pray that everyone gets well and things get back to normal very soon.

Ice Cream Social
Last night the kid's school had an ice cream social so we could meet the teachers and bring school supplies. You could feel the excitement in the air from everyone! I believe (and pray) this will be one of the best school years yet! All of the teachers seemed really excited too. Where are the pictures you ask? Well I did take my camera in with me but there was so much going on that we didn't take one single picture! Can you believe that? But don't worry I will get one tomorrow since it is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! But now I must finish getting ready for my very long but fun day at the consignment sale.We already had sooo many clothes brought in one the first day we are having to get more racks today. I do believe we are gonna have an awesome sale!!!

Pastor's Campout
Last night all 3 of my boys went to the Pastor's camp out.Corey and Kain went last year but it started storming and they didn't stay all night. This was Noah's first time going and everyone (including daddy) said they loved it! They get to do all that boy stuff without mama there telling them to be careful..lol. We have awesome Pastors that enjoy getting dirty with the kids:) Everyone came home stinky and sweaty but with lots of stories to tell.
( Oh and wanna know who took all these pictures? My wonderful hubby! He knew I wanted pictures so bad that he took my camera with the flower strap. One of the many reasons I love him.)
They were excited that they were able to ride in the back of the truck
shooting the bow
A little fishing
Our wonderful pastor D.J. with all the boys
cooking their dinner over the open flames
I was told from my kids that we are to call our other pastor (the one in the middle) Cookie the Cook..lol
Noah did not want to hold his fish that he caught. Guess that's what dads are for..lol.
Kain caught a nice on too.

And since I still had my 2 nieces we had a girls night out! The 4 of us headed to Christian Supply to pick up some books. Then went to the Olive Garden for a delicious meal. We happened to run in to one of my friends and some how we ended up at Chuck E Cheese.Since we had already ate we just played for almost 3 hours! Time we got home at 10 pm we were ready for bed!

Shipwreck Cove after hours
I do believe we found the best kept secret in Spartanburg, well I guess it's really Duncan. I have my nieces for 2 nights so I decided to take them to Shipwreck Cove water park. We went in the evening which is cheaper and oh so much fun! There were only about 30 people there and we were 10 of them:) Hopefully we can go back soon.
See I wasn't lying there was no one there!!!

Beach Blast with a little Art
This was the last week of camp at church. Zoe had beach blast and the boys did art camp. I helped out in Zoe's room so of course I got more pictures of her than the boys. We had a great week and today the younger kids (Zoe) got to play out side for a while. I mean what's beach week without playing in the water?
Notice Zoe's new hair cut? I just love it:)
We had different centers and this is where they got play with moon sand.
2 of her best buds
I do believe this slip-n-slide was a hit!
nice way to cool down
The boys had an awesome time during art camp. They made a few things but I just got them to stop long enough to snap a picture or two.

Thanks to all the volunteers that made beach blast and art camp possible!
Tomorrow night they are going to a Pastor's camp out with their daddy and are really looking forward to that.I have my nieces for 2 nights so we are gonna have a girls night out tomorrow. But right now I need to get ready to head to the water park:)

Kain and Noah have been talking about going to Patriot's Point since we got to Charleston. So when we woke up Friday morning we decided to go there before we headed home. Because for the next couple of weeks we are going to be so busy! We have our final camp this week, then our fall consignment the next week .And that same week(next Wednesday) my kids start the new Charter School. Where has the summer went?

Charleston Day 2
We had never been to a beach around Charleston so we headed to the Isle of Palms. It was a beautiful beach! Wow, no wonder everyone is going down there. The beaches are nice and wide and barely crowded. We may have to go back there next summer.
I do like the beach but I can only take so much sand and salt. I had saw an ad for Splash Island water park and we decided to go there. It was really nice and if you are ever down that way you need to check it out!
Outside of the water park there was an awesome playground! We have been to a lot of playgrounds but this was by far the best one!

Charleston Day 1
My friend was giving away a free hotel room to Charleston and since my M-I-L's birthday was this weekend,I couldn't pass it up! So the kids, grandma and I headed down to the low country on Wednesday. Our first stop was Cypress Gardens. Everything there is just beautiful from the butterfly house, to the animals and then of course all the cypress trees!
As soon as we got into our room Kain headed for the couch..lol.
We were only a block or two from the market so we were going to check it out. We walked out of the hotel and if you know the sidewalks in Charleston they are all uneven. Well my MIL tripped and I think she might have broke her ankle. Yeah it was really swollen and turning blue. But she kept on going! You know when I go on vacation someone has to get hurt.
We went and walked around the Battery and the kids climbed on all the statues. The breeze was so nice that I could have stayed out there all evening. We saw a few dolphins playing around in the bay too.
We took grandma back to the hotel and we walked to the fountain so they kids could play in it. The kids were freezing but still kept playing.
