Sunday Afternoons

After Sunday School we headed to the Riverbank Zoo. We haven’t been all summer because it has been just too hot! We stopped,and at lunch a Rush’s. If you are ever near one you have to try it! They have great food. The zoo wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be. it was a little warm ,but nothing unbearable. A new exhibit was opened at the beginning of summer ,and we had to check it out.

You get to walk right through the kangaroos! The kids thought that was awesome!

The gorillas always amaze me. Their feet are so huge!

I promise Kain had fun despite the tortured look on his face:)

We ended the day with yummy ice cold milkshakes!

Mother’s Day

We are a zoo family and love going to different ones. One of our favorite is the NC Zoo in Asheboro,NC. It is about 2 1/2 hours from our house,but so worth it. I mentioned it to a few of our friends,and they wanted to go also. So on Mother’s Day we didn’t get to sleep in because we met at 6am headed for North Carolina. The drive really didn’t seem that long and we were able to get there right when they opened. We spent about 6 hours exploring and having fun! If you ever get the chance you really need to check it out!

Zoo

After church on Sunday we went to the Riverbanks Zoo with some of our great friends. The weather has just been gorgeous lately and it was a perfect time to visit the zoo. On the way down we stopped by Rush’s for lunch. They have the BEST chili cheeseburgers! The zoo was crowded ,but with the beautiful weather we expected that. We ended up spending the whole day there.
