The Parade

Boiling Springs High School does a Homecoming Parade every year.

I had never heard about it until Zoe's teacher sent home a note saying her class was going to ride on a float ( well the back of a truck).

She was really excited about waving to everyone and throwing candy to the kids.

It was a really cute parade. It reminded me of something out of the movies.

You know the ones where the whole town shuts down and goes to the game.


More schools ought to show that kind of pride. But anyways we all enjoyed it.

Jungle Book

I went with Noah today on his first field trip of the year.

We went and saw the Jungle Book performed by the Spartanburg Youth Theater.

I was really good and the kids seemed to enjoy it.

After we saw the performance we went back to school and ate lunch together.

I enjoyed having some time just with Noah without the siblings.

Even though there was 22 other kids.

The show is open to the public Friday and Saturday.

I would recommend it to children first grade and up.

Because there is a lot of talking and smaller kids might get bored a little.

But over all it was very good!!

My new Nephew!!

Finally after a 2 day wait my nephew came into this world.

Aidan Robert was born October 8th at 11:32 pm ( I think that's the right time).

He weighed a bouncing 7lbs and 2 ozs.

He and mom are both doing wonderful.

And to top it all off, Cassidy (Zoe's teacher from ELC) was in the surgery room with them.

She now works on the Labor/delivery floor. I just thought that was awesome. So she kept us up to date on things. Thanks Cassidy!

We are so blessed to have this new addition to our family!

It has began...

The last three months of the year are the busiest for my family.
We have something to do every and I do mean every week until January 25th.
Maybe we overbook ourselves but we enjoy it.
And the weather is so nice once it starts cooling down and I sure am thankful for that.
I could do without the summer weather. Stay in the mid 60's and I'm good to go.

Corey's favorite month is October. He loves decorating for Halloween. I love all the parties and bonfires! And the kids like what all kids like..candy and dressing up.

We are going to New York for Thanksgiving this year. This is what I have been waiting on for a while now. Corey and I went for New Year's once but the kids have never been. So I can't wait to see their faces when they get to the Big City. I know I fell in love with it as soon as we hit the streets. Corey is nervous about taking the kids.He is a country boy and really doesn't like the city.

Then there's December. We could just claim that month...lol.
On top of the normal 10 Christmas parties, Christmas programs and other people birthdays. We have a lot too.

My baby Zoe will be five!!
I will turn the dreaded 30. Can you tell I'm not looking forward to that?
My oldest baby Kain will be 10. My goodness double digits!
And there is my anniversary.And it's a big one or at least I think so.
We will be married for 10 years!! Wow times flies!

Noah will be 8 in January!
And we have many more family birthdays that month.

I usually have all my Christmas shopping done by the beginning of October. That way I don't have to worry about it but this year I haven't even started.
But oh well it will get done somewhere between the madness!

Happy Birthday...

Today is my nieces birthdays. Madison and Tamara turned 8! Wow..I still remember how little they were the day they were born ( 5lbs.3 and 5lbs.1).And they were supposedly a month early..but I always thought that was wrong.

They had a wonderful party at the swim center. My kids had alot of fun and so did everyone else.
