New York Day 1

We arrived to the big city around 6 am Wednesday morning. I had drove all night except for about a hour. We hopped on the subway and off we were. The kids could not get over not having to wear seat belts. Our first stop was the American Museum of Natural History. We all were excited to see explore it. If you have ever watched Night at the Museum it was filmed here. I think there was 4 floors of things to look at. Our favorite parts were the animals. Wow, the dinosaurs were huge! Yes I knew they were big but until you stand next to one you really don't know. It was really busy with school kids running every where. We explored for a few hours then left. One thing I thought was interesting was that the admission is a "suggested" amount. They tell you what they "suggest" you pay then you choose.Well we choose a few dollars less. Hey, I was paying for 6 people!

When we came out we grabbed a hot dog from a street vendor. It wasn't as good as I had been told. Then we ventured into Central Park. The kids loved the huge rocks! It takes so little to entertain my kids and my husband! You could walk all day in that park. It's like a paradise in the middle of all those huge buildings. After a while we went to see where they blow up the balloons for the parade. I was excited about seeing that! This was the first year that the Smurfs were in it. I loved that cartoon when I was little.

Hot dog anyone?

And the winner is....

So first off I have to tell you that I waited till Saturday to look for the perfect thing to giveaway. I knew I wanted it to be something related to Christmas. Well this happened to be the day 2 of my kids got sick. I did buy it at Bryant Park and they had so many cute things to choose from. But everyone decorates their trees different.I picked something that I would like. But I didn't get to search a lot. I saw this cute ornament and thought it was appropriate for the occasion. Hope you like it.

And the winner is....(drum roll please)......

Jennifer G

(my hubby drew her name)

Take a look at your wonderful ( well maybe not wonderful but cute) gift!

I would like to thank everyone for telling me their holiday plans!

Praise Report

I want to thank everyone for all their prayers and encouraging words. It reminds me what a wonder church family I have. Also to all my blogging friends you really don't know me or my family but took the time to pray for us.

We went to see Dr.Beavers today and he is 99.9% that Noah will be alright! Praise God! He still is a little under the weather but hopefully within a few days he will be back to his old self again!

Noah was so happy to see his surprise bouquet ( Rhonda, Is what you were talking about in the text?)when we got home from the doctors! Thanks so much to everyone at AMRBC for the great balloons! He also perked up a little when Pastor DJ called yesterday. And boy his call was at a perfect moment. I needed to hear a familiar voice. I was worried about Noah and didn't know what was going on with Corey. I felt like we were all alone.I am so thankful we are home safe and Noah will make a full recovery!

Another... little update...

We ended up taking Noah to the hospital yesterday morning. I had gotten worried it was his appendix. He woke up just crying so bad . So I took Zoe and my niece with me to the hospital. Corey took Kain with him to fix the car. Noah was dehydrated really bad so they gave him 3 bags of fluids. And decided to do a CT scan . He had almost got that whole bottle of nasty stuff down when it all came back up. Finally we did the scan. It showed inflammation at the top of the appendix. But the surgeons said it would be OK till we got home to see our family doctor. So we are going this afternoon to see them. Hopefully they will not do the surgery. Both of my boys have a bleeding disorder. So something as simple as this would require a few days in the hospital.

The car...oh my goodness! It took 9 hours to fix my car. My battery had went dead and burnt out something in the ignition. So every time you would put the key in my car "thought" someone was stealing it. So I had to get another key,Can you believe a key costs $200.00? Plus had to fix all the burnt stuff.

But we are finally home. Thank you for all your prayers!!! I will let you know what the doctors say about Noah. Please keep praying that everything will be OK.

So it's Sunday November 30th and I'm writing this from the hotel lobby. Yes, you read it right...I'm still at the hotel. The past 2 days have been eventful to say the least. We were awaken to Zoe throwing up on my niece early Saturday morning ( about 3ish). Then Noah decided to join in with her. So 2 of my kids have stomach viruses! OK so we made it through that. Noah is still sick. He looks pitiful because he hasn't ate in 2 days. We get up this morning and get the car packed, check out and load up. Click,Click ,Click....is what my car is doing. It will not crank. Can you believe it? We get someone to try to jump us off but it still kept dying. I call around and it's Sunday and even in the busy city mechanics DO NOT work on Sundays. I finally get in touch with a Goodyear place. Yes they will work on it tomorrow!!!! I will cost around $600.00....plus an extra night at the hotel. Please say some prayers for us!!! We just want our car to get fixed in the morning so we can get home. The kids are going to miss school and Corey is going to have to miss work. And poor Noah needs to feel better!

I did get a cute Christmas ornament ( well I think it is) to giveaway to some lucky person. But that will have to wait till at least Tuesday. Hopefully our car will be fixed by 12 the we might be home by midnight!

We did have fun at the parade though...lol!
