Turkey Shootout

Noah was able to play a tournament in November with the Upstate Tigers. It was his first game since breaking his leg in April. I was doing a competition in Raleigh, NC so I wasn't able to be there but Corey kept me up to date. Noah even scored! The team was a combination between his old team and his new team. The ended up winning the Gaston Turkey Shootout Championship for their division!

Ring Ceremony

Junior year came very quickly and before I knew it we were at the ring ceremony. Even though Kain did not any pictures he did it for me and for that I am thankful. It was a great night preparing the future graduates and most of all their mamas for what will be happening in a blink of an eye.  Congrats Class of 2017!

First Day!

Summer has came to an end and today was the first day of school and work for me. This was the first time that I did not take Kain to school. He actually drove:/ Noah is starting high school and Zoe is going to middle school. Now we have a Junior, Freshman and 6th grader!

Fireworks!

When a local church does a free firework display you pile up at your friend's house to watch the show. The kids are still sick of all of the picture taking the day before and don't want to corporate but you take the picture anyway.

4th of July

I have said it before and I will say it again, I absolutely love that my kids get to grow up surrounded by our village. I didn't have that and it is just priceless to me. I know that no matter what paths they all take that they will always be there for one another when needed. My kids always look forward to holidays at Ms.Tracy's with their friends. I look forward to it too!

I just love the bond these girls have!

Not more pictures mom!

Love these kiddos!

I really don't know what I would do without these ladies!

The Posse!

Moms want to have fun too!

Good Bye Cast!

I planned a get together at one of our favorite places as soon as I found out when Noah's cast would be coming off. He had a hard 8 weeks since he normally is very active and I thought this would be a great way to celebrate. Some of our dearest friends were about to join us at Pisgah National Forest. We always have such a great time there. The water is so cold that I didn't get in at all but there was no stopping the kid. We are so blessed to have great friends that we can make memories with!

This was after everyone had went down sliding rock.

Looking Glass Falls with some of my besties:) We were missing the other two!

We have taken a picture in this same spot for over 16 years. It has became a family tradition.

My brother and his family were able to come!

These guys will always put a smile on your face!

Isle of Palms Take 2

Since Noah was gone to Alabama when we went on the first day trip we decided to go again. This time Kain was gone on a mission trip to NYC. Noah had just got his boot a week before and I didn't really think this though. Poor kid had to hop on one foot all the way down to the ocean. He had a great time though!

Corey helped Noah in and out of the water. At one point Noah was actually on Corey's back. I wish I would have gotten that picture.

This was Noah's first time with the lacrosse stick back in his hands. It made my heart smile. That boy sure does love some lax!

Noah's 8th Grade Graduation

Noah has always been a good student but better than that he is really a good kid at heart. He had a trying second half of 8th grade. His character was tested and he came through a better person. I am so proud of how he responded to a situation he had nothing to do with but was getting the blame. During all of this he still had lax practice 5 days a week and lots of studying to get done. At the end of the year he was recognized for making the Honor Roll all year which I think is hard to do in middle school which everything you have going on. I am looking forward to his high school years and all the memories it will bring!

Last Day of School

The car ride on the last day of school was sad for this mama. It was the last time Zoe would be dropped off at the intermediate school, the last time I would take Noah to middle school and the last time I would drive Kain to school. How do I already have 2 high school kids(one that will be a junior!) and how is our baby going to middle school?!?!

Zoe's 5th Grade Awards

Zoe finished up her last year at BSIS. She is so looking forward to middle school in the fall and I hope she loves it as much as she thinks she will. She had a fantastic 5th grade her with Ms. Vaugh and Ms.Henderson in a single gender class. Zoe is very goal minded and is very hard on herself when she doesn't do well in school. She was so excited to receive a plague for Career A's. She has now set a goal to continue to have career A's until she graduates. We will see how that goes:)

Corey hasn't been able to attend many awards day so it was extra special that he was there.

Zoe and Ms. Vaughn

"Most Likely to Succeed"  voted on by her class.

Spring Sports Banquet

Noah had a wonderful JV LAX season. He ended up scoring 9 goals this season and was chosen as team captain. We attended his spring banquet and wasn't expecting him to get anything because our HS only gives out 2 JV awards. We were all pleasantly surprised when his name was called for the Coach's Award. Coach Noe really encouraged the guys this year and will be missed next season. He said that a 8th grader normally isn't the team captain but that Noah showed up every day ready to play and gave 100% without complaining. I was beaming with pride. Noah had a great group of guys this year and together they pulled off a couple of wins. Not bad for a whole JV team of 7th and 8th graders plus two 9th graders. I can't wait for the next season to start! Go Bulldogs!

Band Banquet

It's hard to believe Kain has finished his second year of marching band. He has loved every minute of it and never complains about the long hours of practice. The show this past fall was Faces of Fire. It was a very high skill leveled show. They had some hiccups but managed to take a few championships home. He also does symphonic band and was recognized for getting a Superior for a quartet performance. Of course I had to sneak to get this pictures since he still doesn't like me doing it. We can't wait for another season of marching band! Is it September yet?
