* Random Ramblings *

* This past Monday Kain and Zoe were both sick with different illnesses. 7 medications later they are better, thank the Lord.

* I was up all night Saturday with Noah. He now has a stomach bug and boy does he have it bad. So I am wondering if I will be spending this Monday at the doctors office. I love Dr.Beavers but I really don't want to see him again.

* We finally cleaned out the upstairs and the boys moved their room up there.I know it's just up the stairs but it feels like they are so far away.

* I have not been to the gym in 2 weeks! I was doing so good but life happens.Hopefully I will start back sometime this week.

* I have a very heavy heart about our choice in schooling the kids. I know every school is not for every family and we are trying to figure out where our family fits. We have been asking the Lord for his guidance in this decision.

* I have been slacking BAD in the blogging world.I am going to try to get back into it this week. But you can only blog so much about sick kids..lol.

Apple pickin family

Today we went on our annual apple picking trip with the grandparents. This time I decided to bring my 3 nieces with us and thankfully Corey was able to also go.So we loaded the 6 kids into our car and we were not 15 minutes from my house when we had to stop at the rest area. Before long we were in Hendersonville, NC and feeding the lamas. The kids thought this was so funny because the animals tried to eat the cups. Then we loaded back up{that is a chore getting all the kids in the car without leaving one} and went to Stepp Apple Orchard. They usually have a sunflower maze but with all the rain it was closed because it was so muddy. The kids really didn't mind they just wanted to pick some apples. With that many kids{and each having a basket}we told them they could pick a certain amount of apples. If not we would have came home with 3 bushels.

After we had picked plenty of apples we drove to Lake Lure for a picnic. Um not sure why I didn't take any pictures.Maybe I was to involved with the food..lol. I had made pasta salad, banana pudding and some delicious cookies I saw on Stephanie's blog. And of course we had many different types of sandwiches. We had a wonderful day and I am so thankful that we were able to share it with our family. Now I gotta figure out what to do with these apples. Do you have any good recipes?

Clemson Football

My family are not huge football fans except for maybe Kain. I mean we can watch it but it is not something we plan to watch every week. But Kain really likes football especially Clemson! So Corey's boss gave him 4 tickets to the opening game of the season. They were in 2 different sections but it really didn't matter to us.Zoe stayed with grandma and pop that night and was very happy about that. The boys were really pumped and couldn't wait to get there. Well little did I know the work out that was in store for me..lol.We were directed by the state trooper into a parking area and then it began. I am NOT kidding when I say it took us 40 minutes to hike to the stadium! I thought I might die before we got there but we finally made it. It rained on us a little during the game but it felt so good!

Noah was excited since this was his first big game

Corey and Kain sat 2 sections over and were up further than us

Kain came down and took our picture

This was Kain's second Clemson game

The team running down the hill. Have you ever saw so much orange?

We knew it was gonna be a pretty good game or at least in our favor. When on the very first play the guy ran a 96 yard TD!!!! Now they were going for the field goal.

We had a great time despite the near death hike there and back! Did I even mention that I wore my flip flops? I don't know about everyone else but when mine get wet they are VERY slippery! I just knew I was gonna roll down that huge hill but I got Corey to walk in front of me just in case I did start rolling..lol.And since we parked so far away they did not have side walks so time I got back I had mud all over my feet. Oh the things we do for our babies:)

Catching up

I am really liking my job! The kids are great and the teachers are awesome!

Zoe started another year of dance. This time she's doing a tap/jazz class. She decided ballet didn't have enough movement for her..lol.

Kain and Noah are doing karate and seem to like it so far. I mean really what boy wouldn't like fighting..lol?

Corey and I have been going to the gym and yesterday I did 3 miles on the treadmill! Kinda proud of myself:)

The reason we started the gym {besides getting healthy} is because we booked a cruise in January! We are going with 4 other couples and NO kiddos:) I can't wait it is gonna be so much fun.

So that's what I have been up too. I really have to start blogging more but it seems like I don't have enough hours in the day.

So any one got plans for Labor Day?
