Catching Up

I had a busy week but i finally got my blog caught up! If you wanna see what we have been up to you will have to look back a few posts. When I posted them i put the correct date on them..lol.I like things to stay in order:)

My Valentine

Corey was off on Monday for President's Day so he took me to work that day. Little did I know he had a wonderful day planned.He picked me up from work and we went to Olive Garden for a delicious lunch.

After lunch we went to see Dear John. Let me just say I was sooo disappointment in this movie! The book is one of my all time favs and the movie just didn't do it for me.They changed things all around,added some stuff and it was just too drawn out! But oh well, at least I was spending time with my hubby!

Then we went and did some shopping before getting my car worked on.On the way home we stopped at Carrabba's for dessert!

This is the Chocolate Dream and it is so YUMMY!!!

I had a wonderful day with my sweetheart, thank you honey!

Happy Valentine's Day

No one wanted to get up Sunday morning since they were so tired from our fun filled Saturday!
Once they smelled the muffins they came a running!

Of course I didn't get a picture of the muffins before they attacked them..lol.

Zoe made me these cute gifts!

Jam Packed Saturday

Oh boy, did we have a busy Saturday! As soon as the kids were up they wanted to go out and play in the "real" snow.

After playing for a while we went to the movies to see ...

We meet up some friends and everyone really enjoyed the movie!

Once a year there is a Christian music festival called Winter Jam that comes around. After the movie we met up with more friends to check it out.There were thousands of people waiting to get in!

There were about a dozen bands playing. I only took a couple of shots.This one is the Newsboys!

Third Day!!!!

We left not long after they came on because the kids were really tired! Wish we would have stayed but it was OK. The kids LOVED this concert!!

We kids were asleep before we could get on the road good!It was a busy day but we had lots of fun together!

More snow, really?

Were they really calling for snow again? Yes, I heard it on the news that morning,but I really didn't believe it.I mean we have had snow/ice twice already,and that is just unheard of in the south. The kids were out of school for a teacher workday and we stayed in relaxing all day.We were laying down watching a movie when Noah jumped up and started screaming "It's snowing!" So of course we all get up ,and look outside.Sure enough big beautiful snowflakes are falling! Of course I hadn't gone to the grocery store and we really did need food in the house.When Corey got home we headed out to the store.Now this was real snow,not that ice mess! It was fluffy and so beautiful!Of course the kids couldn't wait to play in it.

I guess we will have to wait and see if we get anymore this winter.

Valentine's at school

I was feeling a little sad the day of school parties. I was only going to Noah and Zoe's this year. I have learned that it is just not cool for moms to come to the intermediate school,or so I was told by my eldest son.I had thought about going anyway but I didn't want to mortify him in front of the cool kids:)

I have learned over the years of going to school functions that as your child gets older the less parents participate in things.So I was quite surprised when I went in Zoe's class and I was the only parent there. Usually all parents come when your child is in kindergarten. I know parents were invited because the teacher sent home a note saying "Hope to see you at the party".I am just thankful that I am able to come and see her smile when I walk in the door.

Noah was just as excited to see me. I better enjoy that while I can! Before long it will be uncool to be seen with his mom!

Kain didn't give many details about his party but he did say they were given Coke! I thought to myself "You know your child is growing up when they get Coke instead of juice boxes"!

Sunday Sledding

The kids were ready to do more sledding as soon as they woke up on Sunday.I was having a little cabin fever,but we couldn't get down our driveway!We watched a little TV then we gave in and went out.We went over to the park and found a great hill. The sun was shining and the snow was melting.They were able to have a little fun before it started getting muddy.Maybe next time we will get real snow and not this ice mix.

Snowball Fight!!!

I'm sure you see my hubby in short sleeves..lol! We stay so hot all the time,he thought it felt good that day.

After we went back home Zoe wanted to go in with me. She got completely changed and was watching TV. The boys decided to stay outside, and build a snow/ice man. Well Zoe got so upset that she didn't have her own snow girl! She dressed herself, and went back outside. With the help of her daddy, and brothers she got her very own snow girl. Daddy even made a red bow out of berries, and Zoe named her Rosy:)

I really enjoyed our weekend stuck at home.,I was even happier that Corey couldn't get out of the driveway ,and wasn't able to work all weekend:)


I like the snow and the fun times ,but I am sooo ready for spring!!!
