Saturday soccer

Every Saturday for the next 6 weeks we will head to the soccer fields from 8:30 am til 1:00 pm. I think we are the only ones that stay that long. But all 3 kids play at different times.I think it was in the upper 80's today and boy was it hot. We didn't have any near death experiences today like last time. I think{technically we don't keep score in Upward} all 3 won their games.

Kain watching Zoe play

Zoe is really good{that's the mother talking not the coach} to be on a 4-k team. I think it helped alot that we let her play last year.

Zoe scored 4 goals today!

Posted by Picasa

She can run fast when she needs to.

Karson getting a good kick:)

Noah got his first goal of the season and it was the first goal for the game today.

Noah was really excited to play against his friend Andrew's team.

Posted by Picasa

Kain getting a good throw in.

Kain is a great team player.

He didn't get a goal today but he helped set up 2 other players so they could get goals.

Posted by PicasaNoah got 2 goals! Best of all he didn't almost pass out!

Spring Time

After I got the kids from school we headed to the park near our house. It was a beautiful day and very warm. The weather has been so crazy you don't know if you should wear pants or shorts. It was chilly when they went to school so they wore pants. But it was way too hot for pants this afternoon. But everyone had a great time.

Gone in the night...

Before I go to bed I always go in and check on the kids to make sure they are covered up. I looked in on the boys and they were fine. Then I walked in Zoe's room.I looked in the bed she was gone. I went to check the bathroom but she wasn't there either. So I go back to her room and look under the bed.She has fell out of the bed and rolled under the bed before. But she wasn't there either. I yell for Corey because I was really worried. We looked everywhere in the house. Then we went back to her room and Corey saw the tent was zipped up. We took the top off and sure enough we found her. The Harriosn's gave her the tent for her birthday and she loves it.

Saturday soccer,scares and skating

This morning we got up bright and early. Everyone put on the uniforms and out the door we all went. Today is the first game of the soccer season. I am coaching Zoe's team again this year. Corey usually has to work on Saturdays but not right now.So Corey is going to be the assistant coach for Kain's team. I feel bad that neither of us are helping with Noah's team but we will next year! So for the next 7 Saturdays this is what we will be doing.

Zoe- Little Surge

Mrs.Summer and I with our team listening to the ref.

I love how her pig tails are almost standing up.

Posted by PicasaOn the way to her first goal!

Noah- The Crew

Noah is in the gray. He plays his heart out.

Posted by Picasa

Noah was having to stay in back to back quarters because we didn't have enough to sub with. It was getting really hot too. In the middle of a play Noah turns and starts walking towards me. He is a white as a ghost and holding his chest.I tried to talk to him but he couldn't breathe or talk. He fell down in the chair. At this point I am freaking out. He is really cold and looks really sick. His coach{coach is a nurse} came over and looked him over.We gave him Gatorade and put his feet up. So for the rest of the game he wasn't able to play. I guess he had gotten way too hot and almost passed out. I thought he was having a heat stroke. It really did scared me to death.

All his friends came over to check on him:)

Kain-The Charge

Posted by PicasaGrandma and Pop came to watch.

All 3 of kids played great games! After soccer we went and grabbed come lunch {at 1:30pm} at McDonald's. Then off we went to the skating rink for our friend Sierra's birthday!

We finally made it home around 4 and everyone fell in their beds.

May I help you?

A while back Kain came home and said he was going to apply to be a library helper. He had to write a essay saying why he thought he would be a good helper. Weeks went by and he didn't hear anything. He had thought he didn't get picked and was disappointed. But one day he came running in waving a paper. He was going to be the library helper the 3rd nine weeks. He knew this was a lot of responsibility. He had to always be on time{7:00am} and take his "job" seriously. No goofing off with his friends. The librarian said he has been an awesome helper. This is just proof my baby boy is growing up. We are so proud of the responsible young man that God is molding him to be:)

What are they thinking?

Was I the only one yelling at my TV last night during Survivor? What are those people thinking? I also floated down the Amazon and was kidnapped by a jungle tribe!!! Yeah right! That coach should have been voted off weeks ago. If you say you've done something he speaks up and says he has too. I don't know why I watch the show I always get so mad. And of course if he makes it to the end he'll win. I keep watching hoping he has to put his torch out!

Hollywild here we come!

Every few months Noah's teacher has something called the Breakfast Club.It is for kids that have had excellent behavior and completed all of the work. Noah has been invited to all of them. Ms.Richeson cooks breakfast for all the kids. I stuck my head in this morning and they were eating pancakes and pigs-n-a blanket.

Zoe's class went on a field trip to Hollywild Zoo Wednesday. Her partner was Kasey and me.

It must have been feeding time because this bear was pacing back and forth.

Posted by PicasaAll of these animals were waiting on food too.

The goats wanted in the picture too.

This is a Capybara and is the world's largest rodent. It was huge and it swims too. Could you imagine being in a lake and that thing popping up?

Then we went on a safari ride to feed all the wild animals.

This Emu was right there waiting on some bread.

OK see where the hair is shorter near the bow. The part that's sticking out? Well that use to be all one length but somebody cut their hair.I guess I am thankful that you really can't tell. But when you saw the picture of the pile didn't you think it would be bad?

She got to pet a Lama. The trainer said that lamas are a better pet than dogs or cats. You can potty train them in 2 days and they will ride in the back seat of your car. She wasn't kidding either.

Oh no she didn't!

Noah was being a nice big brother today. He went in to help Zoe clean her room. He came out saying she had cut her hair. I though he was kidding until he brought me this!

I yelled for Zoe{I'm not gonna lie.I was very mad.}and she kept saying no that's Lucy's {our blond cocker spaniel}hair. Then she finally started crying.I asked why she had done it and she replied" I just want to have hair like you mommy!" So what am I suppose to say after that? I always worried about the boys cutting her hair but this is the second time she's done it.I don't know when she did it either. What am I gonna do with that girl?

We have a gap

Zoe has had a loose tooth for a while. Well it decided to fall out of her mouth Easter Sunday.Maybe it was tired of all the candy. She came out of her room smiling ear to ear.Now with a nice little gap in the middle. The tooth right beside it is gonna come out any day now. She ran in and woke her brothers up to tell them about her tooth. She says "I really am a big girl now!"
I think she is so excited about the tooth fairy coming she'll never go to sleep. We finally get to use the cute tin that Mrs.Leigh made. I'm sure that is going to make it easier for the tooth fairy to find;)

Easter Sunday ~ He is Risen!!!

Remember those cookies I mentioned yesterday? Well I'm not sure the exact name but I like to call them the Easter tomb cookies. You can get the recipe here. You learn the story of Easter while baking.Plus the kids are really excited to see what happens to the cookies the next morning.

Kain is beating the pecans the way Jesus was beaten by the Roman soldiers after his arrest.

Noah is mixing up egg whites that represent the purity in God's eyes of those who sins have been cleansed by Jesus.

We read different bible verses too.

Posted by PicasaEach mound represents the rocky tomb where Jesus was laid to rest.

Posted by PicasaThis morning when we woke up the kids were asking about the cookies. So we unsealed the oven and took them out. They took a bite and saw that the inside was empty just like the tomb Jesus was in!

Then they went to see what the Easter bunny had brought.

As you can see Zoe was very excited:)

Posted by PicasaThe preschool choir sang at 2 of the Easter services this morning.

Zoe is on the back row

She was making sure her Grandma and Pop were there

They were singing the "now I can see" from Amazing Grace

After a wonderful service about our Risen Saviour. We went to Corey's grandparents{Papa and Granny}for lunch. Granny is in her mid 80's but she always has lunch on Sunday for the family.

Posted by Picasa A few shots in their Easter clothes.

After we were stuffed from the delicious food. We decided to go to the movies. The kids have been begging to see Hannah Montana The Movie. So that is what we ended up watching. But I really liked the movie too.

Posted by Picasa
But through all the "fun" stuff we remember the sacrifice that Jesus gave for you and me. That his blood washed all of our sins away. That we are forgiven no matter what. That we don't have to be perfect. That we are never alone. That God loved us so much that he sent his only son to die for us.That the tomb was empty because my Jesus lives!!!

Egg Filled Day

Thanks to Mrs.Tracy our church had a great egg hunt Saturday! She organized the whole thing and she did an awesome job. We had almost 200 kids and over 2800 eggs. Mrs.Kim told us the Easter story using some of the Resurrection eggs. After the story all the kids were looking for the empty eggs. Even though we had that many eggs. They were gone within minutes.

Mrs.Kim telling us the true meaning of Easter

Wow she ended up with a basket full.

The boys in action

Posted by PicasaWe have a beautiful bunch of kids:)

Later in the afternoon went went to Grandma and Pop's for the Cotheran Easter dinner. The kids ate as fast as they could because they wanted to hunt for more eggs.I guess this morning just got them warmed up:)

Our nephew Draven. Red heads run in the family.

"Look mom,I found a princess egg!"

I think he's tired of egg hunting.

Posted by Picasa

I found 6 REAL eggs!

This is the whole Cotheran family!

Corey's youngest brother Timmy with his wife Laura. Our niece{the one with all the hair}Molly and our adorable nephew{the one with all the cheeks}Aidan.

This the oldest brother Brandon with his wife Tiffany. My almost grown niece{or at least she thinks so}Angel and big boy{he is only 3 but is as big as Zoe}Draven.

Corey is the middle child and of course he's with me{sometimes not by his choice} and our 3 crazy kids!

Grandma and Pop with all of their grandchildren

Corey and his brothers always act so crazy!

This is the look of "I've had so much fun I feel sick!"
He really wasn't sick he just looked like it for a minute.Posted by Picasa

So remember that party we couldn't go to due to it raining? Well they rescheduled it for Saturday evening. We already had plans to go to the in-laws. So we told them we would not be coming. But we got through with things early and went anyways. Thanks Ella Kate for inviting us!

All the boys on the playground. This is a new park and it was very nice.We will be going back.

Posted by Picasa
Strike a pose!
We finally got home around 8 and still had a lot to do before morning. But we did make special cookies. You'll have to wait until tomorrow to see them. Hope everyone has a very blessed Easter!

It was a Good Friday

Yesterday was a very busy day.Thank the good Lord Corey was off.All of the children had awards day at school. It seems like we just did this but another 9 weeks has flew by. I was in charge of providing refreshments for 2 of the 3 classes. The night before we{Corey and I}made 100 mini cupcakes. The morning of we woke up early and start cooking again. We ended up with 100 ham biscuits and 100 muffins. So when it was time{7:45}to head to school I was already tired. Kain's class was first and they are always happy to see me because I always have food:)

Oh I forgot to mention this was the first time Corey has been able to come.

Kain opened the show with a little welcome speech.

Of course he's looking everywhere but at me.

Posted by PicasaI made him take this picture.

We had time to kill after Kain's class so we went into the library.Corey tried to teach Zoe about checkers. Not sure how that lesson went.

Noah is always excited about me coming to school. But he was super excited today. He was telling everyone his daddy was coming.

Honor Roll all year..so far.

Posted by Picasa

Noah wrote this about his spring break.

{You can click on the picture to make it bigger and easier to read}

Both of the boys classes demolished all the food. We walked away with only a few cupcakes left. They all were wanting more ham biscuits.

Zoe got an award for being Super Enthusiastic about school.Wonder if that's code for talks a lot?

Posted by PicasaAfter all of that I had to go look for the boys a shirt for Easter Sunday. I found one that almost matches Zoe's dress perfectly. We were suppose to go to a birthday party at a new park but it has been raining all day:( So we decided to dye our eggs. I boiled them last night and only broke 3 out of the 18!

Zoe was very excited to "drop" her egg in.

Noah likes to take his time and write sweet things on his eggs.

Posted by Picasa

Kain likes experimenting with mixing colors.

Daddy loves doing these kinds of things with the kids.

Posted by PicasaA few of our colorful creations.

This pack of egg dye came with a cute matching game. It had symbols{cross, church,Easter basket, etc.} and then you matched it with the meaning. So while Corey was mixing the colors we played the game.
I am sad to say I am a follower:( After reading my friend Leigh's post about the Twilight books.I ran out and got this book.

Posted by PicasaI figured since I had saw the movie. I could just skip reading the first one.Corey can't stand it when I get a new book. It's not that he's against reading. He just knows that when I start a book. My house could be on fire and I wouldn't notice. I finished New Moon in 24 hours and I still got a little done around the house. After we left school today we went to Wal-Mart.I was looking for Eclipse but they were completely out! They had Breaking Dawn and I was so tempted to go ahead and read that one.But I restrained myself and I'm going to Target today:) I was reading yesterday in the doctors waiting room and these older kids were just looking at me.Is there an age limit to reading these books? I believe they thought I was way too old be interested in them.

It's Friday, but Sunday's coming

My friend Jennifer sent me this e-mail today. I thought I would share it with everyone:)

IT'S FRIDAY, BUT SUNDAY'S COMING

It’s Friday, but Sunday’s coming.

It was Friday, and my Jesus is dead on a tree. But that’s Friday, and Sunday’s coming.

Friday, Mary’s crying her eyes out, the disciples are running in every direction like sheep without a shepherd. But that’s Friday, and Sunday’s coming.

Friday, some are looking at the world and saying, “As things have been, so they shall be. You can’t change nothing in this world! You can’t change nothing in this world!” But they didn’t know that it was only Friday, and Sunday’s coming.

Friday, them forces that oppress the poor and keep people down, them forces that destroy people, the forces in control now, them forces that are gonna rule, they don’t know it’s only Friday, but Sunday’s coming.

Friday, people are saying, “Darkness is gonna rule the world, sadness is gonna be everywhere,” but they don’t know it’s only Friday, but Sunday’s coming.

Even though this world is rotten, as it is right now, we know it’s only Friday. But Sunday’s coming!

Check Ups

All 3 of the kids went for their annual check ups today. Some may say I'm crazy for taking all of them at one time. But I would rather just make one trip to the doctor. I told Kain in the car he had to put a gown on and he busted out laughing. He said they don't make you put a gown on. Well as soon as we got in the back what did they put on the table? The gowns...lol. Kain was not very happy about it either. Kain and Noah are perfect {health wise} according to Dr.Beavers.Kain is 52 inches...Yippee!!! He is FINALLY growing...lol . Noah is 49 inches and Zoe is 47 inches. Zoe is growing like a weed. She is in the 98% percentile for height and weight. But she does have to go see Dr.Varn {eye doctor} next month. But in all everything went well:)

Sleep Eating

Noah loves to eat and he loves doing it in the middle of the night.
He is half asleep while he's doing it too. He doesn't care what he eats either.
It could be a block of cheese..yeah I said a block. Or it could be frozen Toaster Strudels.
Anything he can get his hands on he will eat. Well except for the snack I leave for him.
He always says he didn't see it.
People are gonna think I'm crazy but we have had to put a lock on the pantry.
But oh he is so clever. He hunts for the key, finds it,unlocks the door, gets what he wants then locks it back.
Maybe he will be a spy when he grows up...lol. Sometimes if were lucky he wakes up before we go to bed.
Like he did last night and this is what he looks like while he's eating.
He can barely keep his eyes open. I'm waiting on his face to fall in the bowl.
Sometimes when we're not so lucky I wake up to a mess.
Noah likes to get Pop Tarts and take them to bed with him.
Thing is he falls asleep before he is finished eating.
So when he wakes up it's stuck to his face.I'm not kidding either.
We find food hid under the bed and he even will put it under Kain and Zoe's bed.
Because he doesn't want to get in trouble. In the morning I ask him" Noah did you get into the food" and of course he says no.
Well he forgot to wash all the chocolate off his face from eating 3 packs of pudding.
You would never know he is a sleep eater and that he eats so much.
If the length fit he could still wear a 4t and he's 8 years old.
Where does he put all that food?

Answered Prayers

Posted by PicasaSome of you may or may not know that I have been struggling with my children's education. Now don't get me wrong I am NOT saying anything about their teachers.
They are great teachers and I know they love teaching young minds. But I do know some of them feel burnt out and frustrated with what they are given to teach. Also they have to teach so much in such a short time. I had heard about a new charter school from my friend Summer. Well you had to register by Feb.1 to guarantee a spot. I didn't find out until later. Then I found some info about Virtual Charter schools. I spoke to husband and we decided we were going to do something. I prayed a lot and filled out applications for the charter school and the virtual schools.Even though I had no clue on how to "home school" I was determined I had to do something. I had almost given up hope about the charter school. A few days before we were leaving for Disney I got the letter. All 3 of the kids were accepted!!! I was very excited so I called and text everyone. I feel this will be a very good change for all of the children. We are all excited about the up coming school year. Now if we could just make it through the rest of this year:)
Both of my friends Summer L and Summer M are having a great Disney giveaway! So just click on their names and if your lucky you just might win;) And yes I did go to Disney with 2 Summers...lol

Day 10~Downtown Disney

I had talked to so many people that had said they were leaving Saturday morning. So I talked to Corey and we decided we would be the "smart" ones and wait til the afternoon. The kids had some Disney dollars that they needed to spend so we went shopping at Downtown Disney. That is the ONLY place that is free to walk around:)When we were there last year a new restaurant was being built. It was called T-Rex. If you have ever been to a Rain forest Cafe that is what this place is like.Except it is full of dinosaurs. The boys said this was their favorite place we had eaten yet. I will say it was really loud and it got dark.It could be scary for small kids but my kids loved it.Corey and I thought it was pretty cool too.But be prepared to spend a little money. And no it was not included in my Disney package.

This is one of the entrances

Posted by PicasaThis is us once we got inside. We got in line at 10:30 and by 11 the line was out the door.A lot of little boys wanted to eat here.

The lights go on and off when its time for a meteor shower.

Posted by Picasa

There is a huge Lego store where you can play with them...another free thing to do:)

Posted by PicasaThis whole dragon is made out of Lego's
After the finished shopping we headed towards home.Well turns out we were not the only "smart"ones. Everyone else waited to leave too. But we made it home without any car problems unlike our last vacation. So no more Disney talk from me.I know you are probably getting tired of it because I am.
If you didn't win my Disney giveaway click here to visit my friend Summer Martin. She is having a Disney giveaway too!

And the winner is...

First off I have to tell you that our Stellan picture made it into the name gallery!!! I am so excited about that:)
I know everyone has been waiting to see who is the winner of some great Disney things. So without further wait...I used Random.org and the winner is Tracy

Congrats Tracy!!! See leaving comments really does pay off:) Now you just need to start a blog and you could win all kinds of cool things.
The drive home was crazy to say the least. We got stopped by 3 wrecks and construction. Instead of being home by 8:30 it was closer to 11. Then we still had to unpack everything. I loved our vacation but I am so glad to be home. I have one last post to about the stuff we did yesterday. I have to tell you about the restaurant we ate at.But you'll have to wait til tomorrow.

Day 9~ All about the Princess

The morning started out really wet! It was pouring as soon as we arrived at the Magic Kingdom. We all got soaked but we still tried to enjoy ourselves. All we have heard about is how great it is to see the fairies. So we decided we would go and wait. The line had been 60-78 minutes all week.At least in there we were not getting wet.We ended up waiting about a hour but I loved seeing Tinkerbell:) OK in this post you will not see a lot of the boys. For one they are tired of the picture taking. Also today the girls had appointments at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! They have been waiting all week for this.

I'm sure most you have read MckMama's blog and know about people submitting Stellan's name.Well we decided to give it a try! I think it turned out great. Thanks to Summer L the letters look great.Maybe she will pick ours to show on her blog:)

I just love this picture. They are our friends kids and it was their first trip to Disney.

Good bye Magic Kingdom...see you next year:(

We went to 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian for dinner. It is a REALLY nice hotel where you can dine with Cinderella,Prince Charming and her step sisters. We were sitting in the common room in the middle of the hotel. When we here all of this screaming. We look and there are people fighting in the elevator! We couldn't believe it.One man was in a head lock and kids were in there too. We all couldn't believe it.

While we waited all the daughters danced with their daddies:)

Day 6~ Hollywood Studios take 2

We went back to Hollywood Studios to finish up the things we were not able to do because of the rain. The had to do a mad dash to Toy Story Mania again. I saw something I had never saw before too. We were all in line waiting for them to open the park.Well it opens and a grown lady leaps over Summer Martin and her stroller. We all were dying laughing.I mean that's something you except from teenagers but not a woman dragging her child behind her:) After TSM we went and watched Playhouse Disney. All the kids 5 and under enjoyed it but others just sat there.

Posted by PicasaCorey,Noah,Jamie,Brandon and Summer L went to ride Tower of Terror again. Zoe,Kain,Brynn and myself were NOT getting back on that. So Summer and I took all the kids to wait for Beauty and the Beast to start.

This was the first time I rode the Rockin Roller Coaster.

Posted by PicasaFor lunch we ate at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. We had to sit in 2 different cars but we all enjoyed the food.

Posted by PicasaWe only stayed half of the day. But Addie fell asleep in her stroller. It was so hot and humid. Even the ones that always say they're cold were hot. After we got back to the hotel we all went swimming again. That was until the sky turned black and the lightning started. That was the fastest I have ever seen a pool clear out. After we ate in the food court at the hotel we went to play some games. It was still kinda early so we all went looking for some putt-putt.The first place we went was a 35 minute wait. Have you ever heard for a wait for putt-putt? Well I haven't! But we ended going to another Disney putt-putt place. This one had a winter/Christmas theme.
